Description
More than 800 people joined Marquette President Robert A. Wild, S.J., and Law School Dean Joseph D. Kearney today to break ground on Eckstein Hall, the future home of Marquette University Law School.
Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Chief Judge Frank H. Easterbrook of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and Natalie A. Black, an alumna of the Law School who is a Marquette trustee and senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Kohler Co., also gave remarks. Rev. James Flaherty, S.J., rector of the Jesuit Community, provided a blessing for the construction site, and University Architect Tom Ganey commenced the digging.
