Description
Ms. Tobin will visit the Law School as part of the University’s Mission Week activities. She will discuss our most precious resource—water—and what’s being done to address critical supply, sanitation, and sustainability issues in nations around the world. Clean, plentiful water is virtually a given in this region. But Ms. Tobin will share a very different reality with us, one in which people may walk for hours to bring water to their families. Ms. Tobin is a native of the United Kingdom. Before joining Catholic Relief Services, she led all the activities and functions of UNICEF in the Philippines. She has also served as Chief of Water, Environment, and Sanitation in UNICEF’s New York headquarters. Ms. Tobin has worked around the world, and her experiences and observations should be of particular interest to individuals and companies in Milwaukee, which is home to the Global Water Center.
