Description

As the Democratic presidential primary moves into the fall, how do Wisconsin voters rate the candidates? Looking ahead to November 2020, how is the general election beginning to shape up? Charles Franklin, director of the Marquette Law School Poll, reports the findings of the first Marquette Law School Poll since April. Franklin examines how voters see the economy, trade and tariffs, immigration, regulation of firearms, and race relations. We also look at Wisconsin issues, including views of drinking water safety, the direction of the state, and evaluations of the governor and legislature, in addition to federal elected officials. The poll includes a deep dive into voter engagement in politics and how voters perceive both political parties.
